Our Lasos HeNe 543 nm stopped lasing after about 1000 hrs. The system

is Zeiss LSM510, and was purchased as demo equipment . This means some additional

laser hours, but most likely not more than 2000 hrs total

Hello everybody,
I'm very pleased to first join this forum and my first question here is very
technical.
We have a Leica TCS SP2 classically equipped with a HeNe 543 nm (Lasos LGK
7786 P100). This laser has suddenly stopped to operate after only 2000h.
Leica tells me it's perfectly normal but HeNe lasers lifetime are usually of
the order of 10.000h. What is your personal experience about HeNe lifetime?
