another vote for ImageJ. Coupled with Loci Bioformats one is able to open
more or less everything. The MacBiophotonics plugin package which was
already mentioned is also very powerful.

Two more options:

- BioImageXD: powerful 3D, but still under development
- Improvision Volocity LE: easy-to-use layout, but only basic features
