Hi all,
I'm using a Nikon microscope for use with an older Technical Instruments K-2 IND confocal spinning disk attachment.
I've posted a picture of our setup at:
http://www.mtholyoke.edu/~jsummers/Nikon_K2IND_confocal.jpgFor our purposes, we'd like to be able to filter light coming from the specimen before it enters the CCD in the trinocular.
Most filter slots I'm aware of sit between the trinocular and the nosepiece, however, since our spinning disk unit does not have a filter slot, that isn't an option for us.
I'm writing to ask if anyone has any suggestions for how to integrate a filter (e.g. a BG-39 shortpass) into this system. Does any company make a filter adapter that could fit into the nosepiece, or trinoc, or c-mount CCD? It would be nice to find a ready-made piece rather than having to drill holes in our observation tube, or machine parts. Any input would be appreciated!
Thanks and best,
Joe Summers
