Frequency Doubled

Dear list;

 

I was just wondering if it is possible to simply use Frequency-doubled beam produced by a pre-adjusted crystal in the external cavity path of the Ti-Sapphire laser as a normal source of one-photon excitation (such as 407 diode laser) or other consideration is needed?
