There is a 25x water inmersion in Olympus, with 82% transmittance from 400nm to 1000nm, so you can imagine that this can easily can go down about 1mm or so, on a regular basis, this one is designed specially for deep imaging and 2P, there is some transparent embryo technique that can achieve even more thant that
