Hello Monique,
I'd recommend you listen to Michael Model on this one... I know that what
he has to offer may be very useful for you!!
Another possibility would be to use Dark Field, but you would need a
special setup: an Iris oil objective of very high N.A. and a oil Dark
Field condensor with the highest N.A. you can get your hands on. One
problem would be any thing in the sample that will scatter light WILL show
up (dirt & grime on your coverslips for example).
