Stitching movies with non-matching Z planes?

Happy new year to everyone,

Does someone know a script that allows to stitch timelapse of Z-stacks with non-matching Z positions?  We have movies consisting of two parts, each part is taken with different Z-settings . Z step and number of planes are the same, but we had to shift the Z-stack start/end upwards as the sample migrated.
