Hi all,
As a light sheet microscope's detection is widefield, the overall penetration depth
of the system will be limited to less than one scattering mean free path (~in the
order of 100 microns for most tissues). This might be reached in the Zeiss
youtube example and hence things get very blurry.
A two-photon scanning microscope can go up to 5 scattering path lengths, the
strehl ratio will be much reduced, but you can still see cells.
