For years, API provided absolutely top notch service for their
DeltaVision systems. On many occasions, after serious computer fails,
they would mail a new server overnight, and I would be up and running
within two days of the issue.
Now that GE has taken over, service has literally evaporated. After
weeks of asking, they were barely able to provide the contractually
obligated PM visit before our system falls by the wayside.
This is in distinct contrast to Zeiss, who provided service on our old
BioRad 2100 MP system for many years after they took over BioRad's
microscopy division.
Of course, this is why we chose Zeiss when we upgraded our
multiphoton, and why we won't be choosing GE when our DeltaVision
finally passes on.
Thanks to all who have provided useful advice!
