No women at a meeting in Harvard, that's Harvard USA in 2015.

I thought Lawrence Summers was no longer President.

Dear Microscopy enthusiasts,

The NALM event is around the corner, program is now complete with 12 lectures on Nov 17th and hands-on sessions on Nov 18 and 19, we encourage bringing samples !

To download the program & register, click on the following link :  http://axiomoptics.com/events/the-1st-new-approaches-in-light-microscopy-workshop/ <http://axiomoptics.com/events/the-1st-new-approaches-in-light-microscopy-workshop/>

The following microscopy techniques will be explored  :

- Adaptive optics for microscopy
Adaptive optics is a new technique used to increase SNR, imaging depth and resolutions of light microscopy techniques by correcting optical aberrations.
It is currently used on super-resolution, spinning disk confocal and non linear microscopy techniques.
Fore more information go to http://www.imagine-optic.com/en/applications/microscopy/ <http://www.imagine-optic.com/en/applications/microscopy/>

- Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging microscopy ( FLIM) Fluorescence-lifetime imaging microscopy or FLIM is an imaging technique producing an image based on the differences in the exponential decay rate of the fluorescence <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluorescence> from a fluorescent sample. FLIM is commonly used to measure FRET efficiency, protein- protein interactions, oxygenation and more.
Fore more information go to http://www.lambertinstruments.com/lifa <http://www.imagine-optic.com/en/applications/microscopy/>

- Spatial Light Interference Imaging microscopy (SLIM) Spatial light interference microscopy (SLIM) is a new label-free technique, capable of measuring nanoscale structures and dynamics in live cells via interferometry.
Using SLIM, cell volume, height and dry mass or example can be measured in-vitro for long periods of time.
Fore more information go to http://phioptics.com/technology/overview/ <http://www.imagine-optic.com/en/applications/microscopy/>

- Micro-spectroscopy
Micro spectroscopy is a technique combining the power of microscopy and spectroscopy.  Using a spectrograph attached with a microscope,  the spectra of electromagnetic energy reflected, transmitted or absorbed by a microscopic sample can be measured with a resolution better than 0.1 nm.
Fore more information go to http://www.princetoninstruments.com/products/spec/isoplane/ <http://www.imagine-optic.com/en/applications/microscopy/>

Commercial microscopy set-ups from Imagine Optic, Lambert Instruments, PhiOptics and Princeton Instruments will be available for hands-on sessions, we encourage bringing samples !

We hope to see you at this event,
