In my first conference as a Ph.D. student, the next poster over was a nice
microscopy. Despite a truly remarkable line of folks waiting to see his
(and very helpful!) feedback. It took a year or two for me to realize the
significance of that encounter. Roger Tsien was truly one of the most
unassuming and generous scientists I have met. RIP.
