Hi Christian,

The confocal listserv archives have posts about many past years course.
A couple

https://mdibl.org/course/qfm/   Quantitative Fluorescence Microscopy
2017 ... pplication deadline April 17, 2017, course director is Simon
Watkins, David Piston is one of the instructors.

http://www.mbl.edu/education/courses/analytical-quantitative-light-microscopy
(deadline was in January)

http://www.mbl.edu/education/courses/optical-microscopy-imaging/
(deadline is in June, Sept course)

mbl ... if you have most of the summer, the Physiology course is
impressive.

https://meetings.cshl.edu/courses.aspx?course=C-QICM&year=17 (deadline
was in January).

Regardless of whether you go to the above, or find another course,
"BYOS" (bring your own specimens ... useful to coordinate with the
instructors).

I also strongly encourage you to work with your local colleagues and
vendors. Maybe YOU should organize a local course in the area(s) of
interest most important to you, colleagues, potential attendees.

p.s. MDI ... maybe you should work with a confocal microscope company to
bring a scope to this workshop, with you and a vendor as confocal
instructors: best way to learn is by teaching,
