Howard, you were the next person to contact on my list.  Thank you for the contact information.

Robert, I had thought about that meeting, and I do contact many people.  I think I need to sit back and see how things are done as well.

George, as always I have no idea how you keep everything at your fingertips.  We will have a new confocal system shortly, so we will have access to reps there as well.  Being in Nebraska, it's sometimes difficult to travel far and wide, but the suggestions offered here and after are all very close.

Thank you all for the replies and pointers.

Christian

Hi Christian,

I teach a plant-oriented confocal short course in January and June/July each year, and this should fit your needs (also, we are not that far from you).  For more information: http://www.danforthcenter.org/events/symposia-workshops/june-2017-confocal-workshop
or email me with any questions you might have.

Cheers,
Howard

My primary research appointment revolves around imaging in plants/algae and occasionally in filamentous fungi.  It's been suggested that I explore options for training in other core facilities or possibly attend a conference.  While there are plenty of conferences which may cover the taxa, few specialize in confocal microscopy.  Thus I thought I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions?  I've been at this since 2001, but I would like to add to my skill set.  Any pointers or suggests on or off list are welcomed.  Thank you!
