In case you have not seen this, there are people who are
developing ratiometric fluorescence reporters for temperature. For
example: Citation: Nakano M, Arai Y, Kotera I, Okabe K, Kamei Y, Nagai T
(2017) Genetically encoded ratiometric fluorescent thermometer with wide

I have no experience with these things, just heard about them and
