Hi Niklas,
many years ago a friend of mine posted his detailed experience with
installing Leica LCS software on a separate, sufficiently old computer:
http://confocal-microscopy-list.588098.n2.nabble.com/Leica-TCS-SP2-LCS-and-Win7-tp7582853p7582921.htmlI've seen SP2 confocals with HP xw6600, which only has two PCI slots. If
you think you need more, look for the specs of other HP workstations (e.g.
HP xw4600).
These computers were quite common, you should be able to find one on eBay,
or your local scrap yard :-).
