I am not sure somebody else's CD will be very helpful. At least nowadays
these disks are personalized, to contain the hardware tree of your
machine. Of course, with enough knowledge you can tinker around to fix
that. But have you tried to get a backup disk from Leica? I have no idea
how far back their archives go, but in principle they should have your
hardware list and a disk image that fits.

Maybe an opportunity to emphasize the importance of backups of system
disks and system folders. Just Do it! Now, not next month! And after any
major change on the system.
