Several years ago I had two Prior joysticks exhibit similar drift problems,
where the stick "at rest" would still send a command signal to begin moving
in one direction. If the glitch is intermittent this can lead to your stage
very slowly walking away over time. Prior acknowledged the problem and sent
replacement units with an updated electromechanical design. Since I have
been using the replacement sticks I have had no further drift issues.
