Dear Listservers,

we have recently been clearing small tissue samples that have been embedded
in agarose blocks using the standard THF dehydration, followed by DBE
clearing method. On several occassions, in the last steps of the THF
dehydration series, the agarose has turned milky white, ruining the sample.

Has anyone else observed this / knows the cause / has a solution.

Thanks in advance,

Dave Johnston, Biomedical Imaging Unit, Southampton.
