uv filter

Dear all,
I have acquired a very cute tiny microscope with white and UV LED illumination http://www.amazon.com/SE-45x-Pocket-Microscope-Light/dp/B002V10862/ref=pd_sxp_grid_pt_0_2 .  I've managed to get a pretty good image of a wasp in amber using my point and shoot camera through this microscope.  The problem is high "UV" reflection resulting in difficulty seeing actual fluorescence.  Does anyone know of a filter, on the order of the flexible wrattan filter just mentioned by Craig that would act as a long pass UV filter?  The main issue is fitting a filter between the light source and the objective.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.
C

A Wratten #2E sounds like it might work:

If that doesn't work, a Schott color filter (KV 418?) might not be that
expensive.

Good luck!

Martin

Here's a link to some longpass color glass filters from Edmund.  They're
about $20-60 bucks depending on size:

http://www.edmundoptics.com/products/displayproduct.cfm?productid=1512&PageNum=2&Sort=displayOrder&Order=asc#products

I use similar filters for an epi-fluorescence wide-field scope I threw
together with the LEDs I mentioned WAY back in the LED thread.
