Hiya

I am looking for a source for DNA Origami using fluorescent dyes, does anyone know if I can get these commercially? Alternatively anything of a known structure/size that I can use for calibration of super-resolution microscopy - so between 50-100 nm in size.

Thanks in advance

Ali

Dear Alison,

I recently became aware of a small company that does just that. Here is the link (no commercial interest):

http://www.gattaquant.com/

Haven't tried them yet though.

Dear Alison

Philip Tinnefeld has a spin-out company (no commercial interest) selling
DNA-origami nano rulers for super-res calibration. I've never tried them
(just heard one of his students give a talk about it), but it looks like
they do exactly what you are looking for.

Hi Ali,

My 80 nm Green/Red PAINT slide from Gattaquant literally arrived last
night, and we will be testing it out on our STORM system this
afternoon.  So feel free to get in touch and ask how we like it after
today....

Best,
Alison

Again a bump for gattaquant. These definitely work well, I have had one for about two months, but you may have to use a modified filtering algorithm for best results (reject diffusive backgrounds in PAINT).

Cheers,
Christian
