Dear all,

We are planning to buy a new color camera for an upright microscope to image Giemsa, Nissl etc. stainings.
Does anyone have good experience and recommendations for cameras besides the usual suspects from Olympus, Nikon, Zeiss, etc.

I stumbled upon the PCO.panda but there might also be some ‘industrial’ cameras that would work nicely with MicroManager…

Any ideas?

Best regards,
Oliver

Hi Olivier

I have never tested this camera but I love the idea and the technology used especially for color images ... on the other hand we multiply the sensors and therefore the price....

HI, Oliver.  I have a couple of Lumenera 3-6UR color cameras that work well with Micromanager.  www.lumenera.com (which was bought by Photometrics, which was more recently bought by Teledyne if I have the story right).  You could also look at the Teledyne Qimaging color camera.  No commercial interest.
