Hello everyone

we are looking for petri dishes with a gas-permeable base for O2/CO2 exchange.

The ones we knew about were these
Greiner Lumox culture dish hydrophilic (50 mm) (Sigma, cat. no. Z376744) (formerly known as petriperm plates)
http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/product/sigma/z376744?lang=en&region=GR

but apparently they have been discontinued.

Any hints on where we could find something similar would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

Dear Stamatis,

you could try the ibidi µ-dishes 50 mm:

http://ibidi.com
or http://ibidi.com/xtproducts/en/ibidi-Labware/Open-Slides-Dishes:-ibidi-Standard-Bottom

The homepage says: "Gas exchange (carbon dioxide, oxygen) during cell culture is maintained thanks to the gas permeable plastic material of the dish."
These dishes have a foil-like coverslip which is comparable to a glass-bottom (refractive index, thickness...) but it is gas-permeable.
We use ibidi dishes since years for live-cell imaging. We have no commercial interest whatsoever.

Best,

Christian
