FluoSpheres are fantastic. We use them routinely, much brighter than TetraSpeck beads (maybe 100x depending on bead size). Some of these beads are currently not listed on their website but believe it or not, you can still order them. I have performed some of my Ph.D. experiments with Crimson 100 nm beads that do not exist, according to their website. An entire custom-made batch costs approx. 12,000 Euro, but occasionally, labs order them custom-made, and ThermoFisher still might have some of these not listed beads in store. Best of luck. I haven't tried DBE, but they do not dissolve in acetone. Note that they are quite big, about 0.3 um.
