Hi All,

Looking for a good refractometer, for microscopy index purposes (obviously,
but I felt the need to state that?:)).

I see them listed from $18-$331.

Can someone please advise a good one?  I don't think you can demo these?:)

Thanks.

A good old manual Abbe refractometer is what I prefer.
Like this one: www.ebay.com/itm/Refractometer/274202275859
I bought a couple over past few years (for $30 or so), of course, for that
price, I had to fix them (stuck gears or loosened parts, converted to
LEDs+battery), calibration is not trivial, so it's a bit of a risk.
Both work like a charm!

Hi Gary,

We keep the Atago PAL-RI pocket refractometer next to our Lightsheet instruments for checks of imaging buffer RI.  Works great!
