Dear All,
I heard about this list from a lecture on confocal imaging. We have a leica Sp5 at the lab, and we've been doing some work on calcium imaging and time-lapse. But for our new project, we want to pick up the scanning speed of our confocal microscope, 15s is a bit long for us. Is there anyway to achieve this goal? Can we do this by simply changing something in settings or do we have to contact the maker and purchase an add-on? Thanks, Jun Li |

To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** If LAS AF has "activate resonant scanner" checkbox on startup, do it. 8000 lines/sec. If you do not have it, ask your salesperson for the upgrade price - ask for pricing on a couple of HyD's as well (see Wolfgang's recent post). While waiting for the upgrade(s), set the scan speed to 1400 Hz (max speed on the standard scanner).
