Hi All,

Does anyone knows a light heating insert that can be used with Z-galvo stage from Leica?

Would be grateful for a tip!
Best regards,

Hi Ektarina,

We have a stage adapter that we bought from Warner Instruments, which fits their Chamber Quick Change Heated Base (QE-1).

The adapter is called a "Series 20 Stage Adapter for Leica Galvo Z Stage (SA-20GALVOZ)".

We use it on our Leica TCS SP2, which has an upright stand (DMRXA2).

Kind regards,

Jacqui

Hi Ekaterina,
we made an aluminium ring which fits the Leica galvo stage and wrapped this
with resistors. When a voltage is applied the resistors heat up, these can
be easily calibrated for the voltage applied vs temperature.
I don't know if proper plans were ever made but I can inquire if you or the
list is interested.
Cheers,
Stephen

BIoptechs makes numerous micro-environmental systems to fit Galvanic stages.
Leica has several models of Z Galvo stages.
Hereis a link to some of the possibilities of the integration of a Delta T™ system.

http://www.bioptechs.com/Products/Delta_T/DStages/dstages.html
(Scroll down to the bottom of the page)

There is also our Stable Z System that accommodates standard dishes.
It supplies peripheral heat just as any other "stage heater" but it does not induce Z axis drift.
If you are using a Galvo stage you are probably already working with narrow depth of field objectives.
Therefore, please beware of simple heating plate designs or as they are traditionally known "stage heaters"  because they typically induce thermal drift.

Bioptechs specializes in accurately identifying your exact needs and matching the most appropriate hardware.
Here is a link to our user profile Questionnaire.
The answers to these questions tell us what kind of micro-environmental system will best suit your needs.

Dear Dan,

Would be great if we could know more about your products.

Our Z-galvo stage consists of following Leica products:

SuperZ Galvo Stage Type H
SuperZ Galvo-Tisch
Reproduzierbarkeit 40nm
Verfahrbereich in Z 500 mm
No : 156504116

200 Insert universal Type H
Universaleinsatz für SuperZ-Tisch, Typ H
Für DMI 6000 mit SuperZ-Tisch
No : 156504115

We mainly use 5 cm glass-bottom dishes from MaTek corporation, Cat. Nr. P50G-0-14-F

Would be great if you could inform us about the possibilities, and of course considering Z-drift is very important!

Best regards,
Ekaterina
