Multiphoton Microscopy Conference-Photonics West 2009

The time has come to inform you that the Multiphoton Microscopy in the Biomedical Sciences (IX) (B0120) conference and other Biomedical Spectroscopy, Microscopy and Imaging sessions will be held during January 24-29, 2009, as part of Photonics West organized by SPIE. Please make sure you send your abstract on or before July 14, 2008.

(Please contact me, in case if you miss the deadline date, we will try to include your abstracts)


Ask your students and postdocs to participate in the MP conference poster session competition and your student may win $1000 for the best poster.
This is sponsored by Becker & Hickl, Boston Electronics, Carl Zeiss, Coherent,

Chroma Tech, High Q Laser, Newport-Spectra Physics, Olympus America, and Omega Optical

The topics includes Multiphoton theory, instrumentation development, applications in various biomedical sciences including (not limited) Neuroscience, developmental biology, cell and molecular imaging, FRET,
FLIM, SHG, FRAP, FCS, ICCS, Raman and CARS microscopy.

There will be a one day special session on FRET, FLIM and FCS.

The Keynote Speaker for the special session is Prof. Robert M. Clegg, University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, USA.

Yes, I did miss the specific date for the MP conference in my email. The tentative dates are January 25, 26 and 27 (Sunday, Monday & Tuesday). Usually we had these dates for the last 8 years and I hope this will continue.

I received number of requests asking for extension for abstract submission for the upcoming Multiphoton Microscopy conference at San Jose during January 25-27, 2009.

 

I wanted you to know that the online abstract submission for the conference will be open until July 31, 2009. I hope to see more number of abstracts for 2009 conference.

Morning theory on basics and FRET assay discussion by the leading FRET experts and afternoon on data acquisition and processing. The training will be on wide-field, spinning-disk and laser scanning confocal, spectral FRET, lifetime FRET microscopy systems. All these microcopy systems for training will be provided by various vendors including Carl Zeiss, Leica, Nikon, Olympus, Becker & Hickl, Boston Electronics, Intelligent Imaging, ISS, Lambert Instruments, and Picoquant. The filters will be provided by Chroma technology.

The time has come to inform you that the Multiphoton Microscopy in the Biomedical Sciences (X) (BO128) conference and other Biomedical Spectroscopy, Microscopy and Imaging sessions will be held during January 23-28, 2010, as part of Photonics West organized by SPIE. Please make sure you send your abstract on or before July 13, 2009.


Ask your students and postdocs to participate in the MP conference poster session competition and your student may win $1000 for the best poster.
This is sponsored by Becker & Hickl, Boston Electronics, Carl Zeiss, Chroma Tech, Coherent, High Q Laser, JenLab., Leica Microsystems, Newport-Spectra Physics, Olympus America, and Omega Optical

There will be a one day special session focused on CARS microscopy.

              I'd love to come to Photonics West - it's been a while since I was there - but now i'm in 'active retirement' - ie I still do work but have no income - it's a bit difficult.  It is one of the most expensive conferences in the calendar for an Australian.  is there any support available?
