Isn't that just the camera port?

Hi Petro,

Are you referring to the C-mount? For connecting camera to microscope and specific to the microscope?

Cheers,

Jacqui

I would call this a photo port.  The C mount is the adapter with the flange at one end and the thread at the other for connecting the camera.  I believe in fact that the "C mount" is referring to the thread mount style of the camera.  Be aware that the flanges on the microscope come in different diameters depending on brand.  In addition the C Mount adapters can be 0.5x, 0.7x, 1x, etc.  depending on the size of the camera chip.

Cheers,

Owen

C-mount is a threaded connection, typically used for video lenses mounted
right before the CCD/CMOS array. The port in the picture is a dovetail, as
Michael said, specs of which depend on the microscope brand.

Hi everybody.
Thanks for replies.
It looks like a proper name is  a photo port, with a circular dovetail. I
was hoping that it is standardized.
I have  a Leica DMIRE2, and building a palm  PALM setup on it. But with my
objectives and camera will need  >2X magnification changer between the mic
and a c-mount camera. I spoke with a local Leica representative a week ago
and he told me that they don't have it. So my hope was to get
specifications for the dovetail connections and make cage adapter in a
workshop. Then I can  combine some lenses.
May be somebody have seen somewhere online 2x c-mount adapter for this port,
Thank you
Petro.

Hi Piter,

I can't tell from that picture exactly which model of dovetail you
have, but it should be easy to measure.  Assuming it isn't something
very unusual, you can buy adapters online once you know which dovetail
you have:  https://www.thorlabs.com/newgrouppage9.cfm?objectgroup_id=10093

Hi Petro, that's is a TV/camera port, You need a C mount adapter like the ones reported at the link

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1u42itZxmUSgWkuuWe8jJ_N5SanCLRZ0k

The 1X should work in most of the cases and yet available (11541510)

Another model here which can work for you (no commercial interest):

https://www.bestscientificcouplers.com/products/detail/coupler-links-1-c-mount-camera-leica-34.5mm-dovetail-interface1

You can use the coupler finder (I selected c-mount, 2x and Leica):

Hi everybody.
Thanks for replies.
It looks like a proper name is  a photo port, with a circular dovetail. I was hoping that it is standardized.
I have  a Leica DMIRE2, and building a palm  PALM setup on it. But with my objectives and camera will need  >2X magnification changer between the mic and a c-mount camera. I spoke with a local Leica representative a week ago and he told me that they don't have it. So my hope was to get specifications for the dovetail connections and make cage adapter in a workshop. Then I can  combine some lenses.
May be somebody have seen somewhere online 2x c-mount adapter for this port, Thank you Petro.
