Quotes arrived promptly, orders were placed, details for bank transfer obtained, 50% advanced payment sent and then.... nothing. Our purchasing bods have sent a chain of emails, I've sent a couple, a significant number of telephone calls went unanswered. Complete silence. Said purchasing bods are panicking now as the delivery date on the quote has passed, and I'm now more than a little disconcerted myself. Has anybody else had a similar experience? Anybody have another means to contact this company (apart from the email and telephone details on the website), or know personally anyone involved there? Have they been at any recent congresses or meetings? Any and all information is most gratefully received, as silence definitely isn't golden in this case, and hasn't been my experience with Pathology Devices until now. Best wishes, Chris Wood Laboratorio Nacional de Microscopía Avanzada Instituto de Biotecnología, UNAM México www.lnma.unam.mx www.facebook.com/lnma.mexico |

I have one of their incubation units on my spinning disk confocal and it's fantastic. The problem, as you noted, is inability to get them to respond. I've had three issues with my unit over the years -mostly from misuse - and have had great difficulty getting it repaired. One time I sent it back and waited several months for it to return. Most recently I asked PerkinElmer, who sold it to me, to get involved. The repair happened in two weeks. You have to be persistent. Call and email every day. There only seems to be one person at the company. Here's the contact info that I have: Ron Gebing Pathology Devices, Inc. p 410.876.5004 f 410.876.6006 www.pathologydevices.com This is the address we used to return the unit for repair: Pathology Devices, Inc. 3525 Del Mar Heights Rd Unit 283 San Diego, CA 92130 Hope this helps. I have now been contacted by Ron Gebring at Pathology Devices and (of course) confirm that they are still making and shipping their stage incubators.
