Triple-dichroic for Yokogawa spinning disk mic.

Dear all,

We would like to order a triple dichroic (405-440)/514/594 for our Spinning Disk
system (purchased from Andor). However, since this would be a custom made
dichroic the costs would be very high.

Therefore, I would like to ask you: "Would you be interested in such filter?"
(You are NOT obliged to buy one if you answer "yes")

This dichroic will be suitable for the typical FRET-combinations such as
CFP/YFP, YFP/mCherry(or mKate). Furthermore it is very suitable for swichable
FP's (@ 405).

If I find enough people who are interested in this dichroic, I could ask
companies (Chroma, Semrock, Omega) to make one for us and sell it for a
reasonable price.

If you are interested, please directly reply to me. Later, I will report to the list
how many replies I've got.

Kind regards, Erik Manders

Re: Triple-dichroic for Yokogawa spinning disk mic.

Hi Eric,

the one from the Chroma 89006 set will work (you may have up to 75% reflection
for the 514 nm argon line, it is OK). As AR coating is required, ask Mike
Stanley from Chroma, he is very helpful.

Dear Vitaly,

Thanks for your reply. I think the Chroma 89006 is a set for a normal filter
cube. Size of the dichroic that fits into the Yokogawa is much smaller and
thinner. We have contacted Mike Stanley. He gave us spectra of other
dichroics (fitting in the Yokogawa) but none of them is good for (405-
440)/514/594 . So, I think I really have to order a custom made dichrois.

So, Please reply if you need one!

Kind regards, Erik

Re: Triple-dichroic for Yokogawa spinning disk mic.

Hi Erik

We have a (405-445)/515/561 filter set for the CSU series readily
available, in case you are interested. It goes w/o saying that we
have a commercial interest here.

Best regards,

Beat
