Hello,
Can anyone suggest well plates with low background for
fluorescent studies.

Thanks,

Most glass bottom plates should be pretty low background. You can
further decrease the background by filling the wells with sterile
filtered 0.1 M NaOH overnight and then rinsing extensively with 0.2 um
filtered water.  We have a list of plate suppliers on our wiki page:

Glass bottom plates perform the best but are expensive. The COC options
are really almost indistinguishable. Here's what we recommend most of
the time.

Recommended Plates For Imaging:
96 well: Greiner 655090
384 well: Greiner 781091

Best,

Casey

Hi,

We use Whatman (96 well) plates from VWR for our confocal imaging which
works really well. Art no 512-1158. We used Greiner as well which works as
well but if you image upside down they are harder to seal properly in our
experience.

Best,
Rutger
