Does anyone know if/when the Yokogawa CSU-SR will materialize?

https://www.yokogawa.com/za/news/press-releases/2016/yokogawa-develops-csu-sr-confocal-scanner-unit/

It sounds like a prototype of the unit was around a year or so ago, but I can't find any references to the release of a commercial product.

I think Olympus has been selling this for almost a year.

I'm really excited too! If they did a good job, this could be the future of
spinning disk. Sadly they don't seem to be licensing the NIH patent, or
crediting me as the inventor, even though they knew about my work (
https://goo.gl/kChbVl ).

I've got mixed feelings; it's awesome to see the field moving forward, but
I don't want to encourage bad behavior. My preferred compromise is that we
call it the "Yorkogawa".

Hi there

Since we are looking into buying another spinning disk, I asked Yokogawa about the CSU-SR. They said it is not yet in production.

Med vänlig hälsning / Best regards

Try Roper Scientific France Live SR which uses similar technology to
acheive hig speed SR images

Roper Scientific's Live SR is based on ``spinning disk super-resolution microscopy'':
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25717185

VisiTech UK are making the commercial instruments based on York and Shroff's instant SIM:
http://www.visitech.co.uk/vt-isim.html

The above systems are already commercially available, plus the Yokogawa approach (imminent).

Which one would people go for? Do you think the above systems will be able to do single-molecule imaging?

Best wishes,

Rumelo

Olympus is bringing a system for us to demo soon.

Looks different from the Yokogawa version.

Continuing the discussion thread about super-resolution imaging with
spinning disk confocal microscopy from a few weeks ago, I’d like to
inform this community about Andor’s super-resolution imaging solution
for spinning disk. Recently, we initiated a collaborative project with
Ricardo Henriques’ research group at the MRC Laboratory for Molecular
Biology (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/lmcb/users/ricardo-henriques) to create
a GPU-accelerated version of the Super-Resolution by Radial
Fluctuations (SRRF) computational approach to achieve super-resolved
fluorescence images. More information about this approach can be found
at the following links:

http://www.andor.com/pdfs/SRRF-Stream.pdf
