If they did a good job, this could be the future of spinning disk. Sadly they don't seem to be licensing the NIH patent, or crediting me as the inventor, even though they knew about my work ( https://goo.gl/kChbVl ). I've got mixed feelings; it's awesome to see the field moving forward, but I don't want to encourage bad behavior. My preferred compromise is that we call it the "Yorkogawa". Which one would people go for? Do you think the above systems will be able to do single-molecule imaging? Best wishes, Rumelo |

Recently, we initiated a collaborative project with Ricardo Henriques research group at the MRC Laboratory for Molecular Biology (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/lmcb/users/ricardo-henriques) to create a GPU-accelerated version of the Super-Resolution by Radial Fluctuations (SRRF) computational approach to achieve super-resolved fluorescence images. More information about this approach can be found at the following links: http://www.andor.com/pdfs/SRRF-Stream.pdf https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms12471 Sincerely, John Oreopoulos Staff Scientist Spectral Applied Research Inc.
