I have an Accuscope 3032 microscope whose halogen lamp PS is dead. It appears to be a 6V DC 5A (max) supply whose output can be adjusted with a 10K pot. It lives in a box (roughly 10cm x 6cm x 2.5cm) which is labeled Model No.: YX010~50-30-01 and calls itself a SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY TRANSFORMER. No company name, and my internet search turned up nothing. Of course I wrote to Accuscope -- no reply. I can use an adjustable linear supply, but that is big and heavy. Does anyone on list know where I can find this? Thanks in advance --aryeh -- Aryeh Weiss Faculty of Engineering Bar Ilan University Ramat Gan 52900 Israel Ph: 972-3-5317638 FAX: 972-3-7384051 |

You may try to google for "ZM6/50 PZO", it's the one with a sliding pot regulating the output to 0 to 7V. But it may be hard to find in Israel... You may also try to tweak some switching mode power supply, preferably a laptop one. Or you may try one of these cheap ones: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-to-DC-Step-Down-BUCK-Converter-Adjust-Constantt- Current-Volt-Max-5A-TW/131299324389 and power it from other supply (12V or 24V). Both voltage and current limit are adjusted with 10k pots, so it should be easy soldering... (I also recommend using some other load than your precious 6V bulb for testing!). Also a regular lab power supply would be a solution (alhough expensive and bulky, moreover they seldom supply 5 Amps). Accuscope sent a replacement power supply to me at no charge, which certainly makes me a very satisfied customer. I thought it was appropriate to post this, since I posted my original problem to list. --aryeh On 12/24/14 10:15 AM, Aryeh Weiss wrote: > Not confocal, but I hope within the list's expertise. > > I have an Accuscope 3032 microscope whose halogen lamp PS is dead. > It appears to be a 6V DC 5A (max) supply whose output can be adjusted > with a 10K pot. > It lives in a box (roughly 10cm x 6cm x 2.5cm) which is labeled > Model No.: YX010~50-30-01 > and calls itself a > SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY TRANSFORMER. > > No company name, and my internet search turned up nothing. > Of course I wrote to Accuscope -- no reply. > > I can use an adjustable linear supply, but that is big and heavy. > > Does anyone on list know where I can find this? > > Thanks in advance > --aryeh > > -- > Aryeh Weiss > Faculty of Engineering > Bar Ilan University > Ramat Gan 52900 Israel > > Ph: 972-3-5317638 > FAX: 972-3-7384051 > -- Aryeh Weiss Faculty of Engineering Bar Ilan University Ramat Gan 52900 Israel Ph: 972-3-5317638 FAX: 972-3-7384051 |
