Hi All,

I am looking for some positively charged blocker for life cells imaging. Before I've tried BSA solution, but the toxin that I'm using for my experiments attach everywhere, because of the charge.

I would be very grateful If anyone knows about positively charged blocker that is not going to block voltage dependent calcium channels.

Thank you in advance,

Kate

Is there any chance you could try using poly-L-lysine, or one of the other poly amino acids?  I'm not sure if they would have any effect on your calcium channels.

Hi Kate,

BSA has some hydrophilic groups on the surface. This may be the source of
your problem.
What about milk? Did you try it?

We sometimes use cold water fish skin gelatin (available form Sigma) for blocking in immunocytochemistry.
I am not sure what charge it has.
